Mr. Johnson's Home Page

Welcome to my web site! Note: this site was originally hosted at, but was moved in the fall of 2014.

I was born and raised in Akron Ohio. I attended Christ the King Grade School and Arch Bishop Hoban High School, Graduating in 1992. I then attended the University of Akron, and graduated December of 1998 with a bachelors degree in Secondary Education: Mathematics and minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. I have been teaching at Cuyahoga Falls High School since the fall of 1999. I received a Masters Degree in Educational Technology from the University of Akron in 2003. In 2008, I recieved the "Master Teacher" designation from the district and in 2013 I became a Dual Enrollment Adjunct Professor at Stark State University. I was selected District Educator of the year for the 2014-2015 school year, and was chosen the 2015 NCWIT Ohio Educator of the Year.

My former classroom was distinctive because it has no windows and 14 walls, almost all covered with posters (including a movie poster collage that covers half the room from floor to ceiling). My new room is the only computer lab in the building with a sink, but the veiw out the window is tranquil (Well it turns out, I've got a rose garden). My students know me best for my bad handwriting, atrocious spelling and my truly horrible jokes.
